High Surface Area Activated Carbon Fiber Felt Filter Media

 Activated carbon fiber is use man-made fibers by low temperature carbonization, carbonization temperature, activation and other special material made of high adsorption. It is featured with a wealth of high specific surface area and pore, acid and alkali, low ash, has good electrical properties and chemical stability; The product not only has excellent adsorption properties, but also has good reducing ability, adsorption, removal attached speed, can be used repeatedly.

Activated carbon fiber application :

 (1) Air purification: Activated Carbon Filter Felt can be used to make up Air Filter which is able to absorb and filtrate the harmful gas in the air like O3, SO2, NO2 and others effluvium mephitis or fume.
 (2) Water purification: Activated Carbon Filter Feltis able to clean the hazardous material of water such as organic matter or heavy-metal ion, fustiness smelt, bacteria residual chlorine etc. It can be used in drinking industry, beverage, beer, medicine, refine sugar and others vocation to purify water. Besides, it also can be used in the production of decolour craft, blue ice or drinking water.

Activated carbon fiber felt properties:

1. Large adsorption capacity The organic gas adsorption capacity is several to ten times larger than that of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC). The adsorption of inorganic, dye, organic and precious metal ions in aqueous solution is 5-6 times higher than GAC. It has excellent adsorption ability for microorganisms and bacteria, especially for low concentration adsorbate. For example, it still maintains a high adsorption capacity for PPM grade adsorbent, while the adsorption capacity of GAC and other adsorbent materials often decreases at low concentration.

2. Fast adsorption speed
The gas adsorption speed is very fast, and the adsorption of liquid can quickly reach the adsorption equilibrium, and its adsorption speed is 2-3 orders of magnitude higher than GAC.

3. Activated carbon fiber felt is easy to regenerate and has fast desorption speed. Such as 120-150 ºC hot air treatment ACF for 10-30 minutes can be completely desorbed.

4.Good heat resistance, high temperature resistance above 1000 ºC in inert gas, and ignition point above 500 ºC in air.

5.Resistant to acids and alkalis, with good electrical conductivity and chemical stability.
